How are roasted almonds made?

The raw, unpeeled almonds are cooked in a heated sugar mixture until they are caramelized.

Can I make roasted almonds myself?

Of course, the industrious amateur bakers among us are welcome to do so. All you need are almonds, sugar, water, vanilla powder and optionally some cinnamon. Put the sugar, vanilla sugar and cinnamon in a pan and bring to a boil along with the water, without stirring. Add the almonds and continue to cook on high, stirring constantly, until the sugar becomes dry. Then turn the heat to medium and stir until the sugar melts and you have slightly shiny almonds in front of you. Let cool briefly and you're done! Of course, it works best with a specially made machine, but you can also make the treat in the oven or in the microwave. But beware, burnt almonds can quickly become burnt almonds. In that case, you should rather reach for our practical 1 kg advantage pack.

Are the roasted almonds with or without sugar?

We do not experiment with coconut blossom sugar, xylitol or erythritol for our roasted almonds. With the classic among the Christmas nibbles, we sweeten quite traditionally with refined sugar.
