You just can’t get enough of cinnamon? You love spicing up your breakfast porridge and fluffy cinnamon rolls with that oriental spice? From now on at KoRo you can buy whole cinnamon sticks, from the Cassia variety, so that you will be equipped for every occasion. Cassia cinnamon comes from a tree known as Chinese cassia or Chinese cinnamon, originating - as its name suggests - from China. The typical cinnamon sticks derive from the tree’s bark, which is also why cinnamon sticks sometimes are also called cinnamon bark. Cassia cinnamon tastes sweet-spicy and has a stronger, more intense taste than the Ceylon variety. Therefore, your dishes will need smaller quantities of Cassia cinnamon than Ceylon cinnamon. Just try it out yourself!  This is how to use Cassia cinnamon  You can grate the Cassia cinnamon bark directly into your cooking pot: this is how Cassia cinnamon can develop its full aroma best and refine your favourite dishes. Cinnamon is a must in grandma’s rice pud

Questions & answers: Cassia cinnamon sticks 1kg
No search results.
No, this product is not ground cinnamon, but whole cinnamon sticks.
In general, the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment recommends a maximum of 0.1 mg coumarin per kilogram of body weight. This also applies to babies and toddlers. This means that toddlers and babies can sometimes eat a small pinch of cassia cinnamon, but ideally should prefer to consume Ceylon cinnamon - especially if cooking with cinnamon is more frequent.
The Federal Institute for Risk Assessment recommends a maximum of 0.1 mg coumarin per kilogram of body weight. An adult weighing approximately 60 kg should consume a maximum of one level teaspoon, which corresponds to approximately 2 grams of cassia cinnamon, per day. In this dose, cassia cinnamon is neither unhealthy nor harmful.
The original origin of cassia cinnamon is southern China. Therefore, Cassia cinnamon is sometimes called China cinnamon. In the meantime, however, it is also grown elsewhere. The cassia cinnamon tree, from which your cinnamon comes, is in Indonesia.
Yes, a cinnamon allergy does exist. In most cases, an allergic reaction to cinnamon is due to a cross-allergy. If you experience allergy symptoms when eating cinnamon, it is better to avoid it.
Cassia and Ceylon cinnamon have some differences. Cassia cinnamon, for example, comes from China, Ceylon cinnamon comes from Sri Lanka. There are also some differences in aroma, appearance and price between Ceylon and Cassia cinnamon. Ceylon cinnamon has a finer aroma, Cassia cinnamon is rather strong and slightly sweet. The two cinnamon varieties also differ in price: Ceylon cinnamon is significantly more expensive than Cassia cinnamon. The two cinnamon varieties also differ in their coumarin content. Coumarin is a natural ingredient of cinnamon, which is harmful to health in very high doses. The coumarin content of Ceylon cinnamon is naturally lower than that of Cassia cinnamon and is therefore recommended if cinnamon is frequently included in the diet. Cassia cinnamon is neither unhealthy nor toxic when consumed in small amounts. If you regularly use a lot of cinnamon as a spice, you should rather use Ceylon cinnamon, because Cassia cinnamon contains a little more coumarin. Also with cinnamon applies: The quantity makes the poison!
Cassia cinnamon can be used for cooking and baking. Not only for rice pudding, Christmas cookies or porridge cinnamon is ideally suited, also some Asian or North African dishes tolerate a good pinch of cinnamon. The noble cinnamon aroma refines not only delicious apple pie, but also hearty dishes. There are definitely no limits to creativity here!
Because of the higher coumarin content in cassia cinnamon compared to Ceylon cinnamon, cassia cinnamon should only be consumed in moderation during pregnancy. In general, cinnamon can have a labor-inducing effect towards the end of pregnancy if consumed in very high amounts. Therefore, it is not recommended to enjoy it in large quantities during pregnancy.
Cassia cinnamon should be stored dry and at room temperature, so that the aroma is preserved as long as possible.

Ceylon

Made from the inner bark of the Cinnamomum verum tree, Ceylon is the original form of cinnamon. The thinner the rind, the finer and more aromatic the cinnamon taste, which is nobler, more aromatic and less pungent than that of the Cassia variety.

Cinnamon is a very old spice that originally came from Asia. Cinnamon trees are grown on plantations and harvested immediately after the rainy season, as the bark is then fresh and moist and can be easily peeled off. The quality of the cinnamon is based on the texture and color of its quills.

1 kilo of cinnamon at an unbeatable price !!!

This was my 1st order on this German site. It was processed with incredible speed and I was kept informed of the different stages of the shipment. The 1 kilo bag of cinnamon sticks is at a price that defies all competition. I use them mainly to make flower arrangements (especially in Autumn and Christmas).
I can only RECOMMEND THIS SITE!
