Acerola – what is it?

We present: the acerola fruit. It is small, round and red and convinces with a sweet-fruity and slightly sour taste. Over here, acerola is known as the acerola cherry because of its appearance - botanically, however, it is not related to the cherry. Originally, the small sweet fruit comes from South America, where it is still cultivated today. The fruit of the acerola plant is one of the richest in vitamin C in the world and is often touted as a superfood. But what is behind it?

Acerola powderr – just Hype?

We took a closer look at the fruit powder to find out what is really behind the hype. To say it in advance: we fell in love! Our acerola fruit comes from organic farming. With 17000 mg of vitamin C per 100 g, the fruit powder is a true vitamin C source. Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system. Vitamin C also contributes to normal collagen formation for normal bone function. However, our fruity powder is not only a source of vitamin C, but also a source of dietary fibre (5.6 g/100 g). What's more, it is virtually fat-free. As if we hadn't already seen pink, with all these facts we'd rather add half a teaspoon of the sweet and sour powder to our breakfast.

Recipes with acerola powder

The slightly orange-coloured powder has already got us wrapped around its finger. We show you how you can easily integrate your vitamin C source into your daily routine: we prefer to start our day with a refreshing drink or smoothie, into which the tropical stone fruit blends wonderfully. Due to its slightly sour and fruity flavour, acerola powder is also ideal for homemade jams - and on hot summer days, of course, for your creamy fruit ice cream. This special kind of fruit powder is also a real secret weapon in the bakery. Due to its high vitamin C content, the powder has a positive effect on the kneading process in doughs and on the final product. The result: an airy and stable dough with a fruity note. You like it savoury? With our organic acerola powder you can refine your spicy dishes with an exotic note. But just convince yourself: order your sweet and sour portion of vitamin C. Brings variety to the kitchen - good quality acerola powder

Bought new... super in smoothies. As a superfood and vitamin C donor also. Brings variety in the kitchen. Personally, I would not consume it daily. Price performance for quality and quantity but good.
