Tasteless and odourless coconut oil? Does it even exist? Of course it does! This oil is a perfect alternative to virgin coconut oil, as its unique smell has been removed with a heat treatment. Neutral in taste, it can therefore be used in every recipe you have in mind, as it won't taste like coconut at all. For example, you can use our deodorised coconut oil for your roasted or fried potato wedges, but also of course for baking cakes and pastries.

Just like regular coconut oil, this deodorised oil can be used on your skin and hair. It is an excellent, silicone-free way to strengthen the tip of your hair and avoid the formation of split ends. Coconut oil is particularly recommended for very thick, curly, and dry hair. Try it also as a moisturiser for your skin or in your bath water. Your skin and hair will thank you!

How many calories have 100 ml of coconut oil?

100 ml of coconut fat comes to 900 kcal. Coconut oil is pure fat, which means that 100 ml of coconut oil is 100 ml of fat, 92 ml of which is saturated fatty acids.

What can I use deodorized coconut oil for?

Because this coconut oil has no flavor of its own, you can use it not only more for curry or other dishes in which the coconut flavor is welcome, but also for any other dish. It doesn't matter whether you use it for baking, cooking or frying, because the coconut oil can withstand temperatures of up to 200 °C. Or you can try the trendy drink Bulletproof Coffee: For this, you add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil (and optionally 1 tablespoon of MCT oil) to your coffee and whip it in a milk frother until frothy. Sounds extraordinary, tastes extraordinary - extraordinary good!

Is the coconut oil organic?

Not just pretty, but whole. Our deodorized coconut oil is 100% organic. But our regular conventional coconut oil is also organic quality. Pretty cool, right?

What is special about deodorized coconut oil?

The coconut oil has been deodorized. This means that the characteristic inherent taste of coconut is no longer contained. It is therefore odorless and tasteless and is suitable for all dishes and pastries. You can heat the coconut oil up to 200 °C and use it for frying at high heat. The oil is also of organic quality.

Is the coconut oil vegan?

Yes, coconut oil is an excellent vegan alternative to ghee. It is purely vegetable and also highly heatable. By the way: For variety in the shelf of your vegetable cooking and baking ingredients, we even have vegan ghee from olive oil in our assortment.

Is coconut fat good for weight loss?

Coconut oil is often said in various internet forums to help with weight loss. However, when losing weight, a negative calorie balance is the key, not the consumption of a particular food. So our deodorized coconut oil does not help you lose weight, but it does help you meet your daily requirements of the macronutrient fat. The DGE, the German Society for Nutrition, recommends that 30% of the daily energy intake be covered by fat. With a requirement of 2000 kcal/day, that's 600 kcal that you get from fats. Our deodorized organic coconut oil or other cooking oils can help you to implement this recommendation in your diet.

Why is my coconut oil liquid?

Don't worry, from a temperature of 25 °C it is quite normal that your coconut oil is no longer solid. This is not detrimental to the quality. If the room temperature drops or you put the oil in the refrigerator, it will become creamy again or, if you leave it in the refrigerator long enough, even hard. However, it is easier to portion if it is not completely hard, but creamy or - as is often the case in summer - liquid.

When does coconut oil become liquid?

Coconut oil is solid at room temperature. Above 26 degrees, the coconut oil becomes liquid.
