What are the nutritional values of organic hemp noodles?

Our hemp noodles are a source of protein and fiber. You can read all the information about carbohydrates, calories, etc. to the right of or below the product description. Of course, we have also printed them on the product packaging.

Are the hemp noodles vegan?

Our pasta contains only two ingredients: 80% durum wheat semolina and 20% hemp flour. Therefore, vegetarians and vegans can also access with confidence.

What are hemp noodles?

Our hemp pasta is made from 80% durum wheat semolina and 20% hemp flour. The latter ingredient gives them their green color and slightly nutty flavor.

Are the hemp noodles gluten-free?

No, our hemp noodles consist of 80% durum wheat semolina and are therefore not gluten-free.

Do hemp noodles contain THC?

THC is the psychoactive ingredient of the cannabis plant. It therefore provides the "high" when consuming cannabis or marijuana. But don't worry, there's no THC in our pasta. Euphoria only comes from tasty food and not from drugs. :)

How many calories have 100 g of the organic hemp noodles?

100 g of the uncooked pasta have 350 kcal. Please keep in mind that the weight is different from cooked penne because they have absorbed the water and therefore the weight or volume of the pasta changes.

How long do the noodles need to be cooked?

To get the most out of our organic hemp noodles, you should put them in boiling, salted water and cook for about 5 to 7 minutes. Stir occasionally during this process.

Do the organic penne have much protein?

Yes, our penne are a delicious source of vegetable protein. For every 100 g of product, there are 11 grams of protein.

Hemp, or industrial hemp, is a variety of the Cannabis sativa plant species that is grown specifically for the industrial uses of its derived products. 25 kinds of hemp are grown worldwide. Besides being used in the textile industry (hemp fibres are very resistant), hemp is cultivated for its seeds, which are incredibly rich in oil and nutrients. Hemp originates from China, where, in 2800 BC was already being used for making ropes. Today, commercial hemp's global acreage is between 60,000 and 100,000 hectares on average, with yearly fluctuations. In 2018, Cina, Canada, and the EU counted 150.000 hectares in total among them. More exact numbers are unknown, The numbers on the map date from 2017 and indicate the cultivation in hectares.

In late summer, the first seeds are ready to be harvested. The plant is just 10 cm tall, but, trust us, it is more than enough! Cosmetics, clothing and accessories, seeds for your muesli and bread: the incredible hemp can do all of this.

Everything spins around - but only for our hemp seeds. Before they can be processed into our delicious hemp cream, they are roasted in these drums.

Hemp seeds dream of becoming our butter!

Once roasted, the hemp seeds are now placed in these machines - they waited a long time for it! The resulting cream is then filled into jars and is then ready for your order.

Sometimes we make a big mess: before our products are uploaded to our shop, they are treated to a professional photo shoot. Our beautiful hemp butter is stirred, poured, and styled until everything looks good enough for our photographers. Let us not think
