Konjak rice – what is that?

Just like our dried konjac noodles and ready-to-eat konjac noodles in water, both of which you can already find in our shop, our shirataki rice is made from a plant tuber, the konjac root. Food made from the konjac plant is especially popular in East Asia, where it is also native, and is an integral part of many delicious dishes. The root is first dried and ground into a fine flour. Together with water and a little citric acid, the konjac flour is then processed into rice, noodles and other products.

But of course! Whether sweet or savory, Shirataki rice is always a good choice and can in principle be used for any rice dish. For example, how about delicious konjac rice pudding, enhanced with creamy hazelnut sauce? Risotto also immediately comes to mind when we think of rice - we can highly recommend the walnut risotto from our Food Journal, for example. But also as a side dish for a delicious lentil curry Shirataki rice knows how to convince!
No, we have already done that for you. All you have to do is pour off the water contained in the package and briefly rinse the rice. You can then process it for the dish of your choice or simply heat it up briefly as a side dish.
Yes, just like our konjac noodles in water and the dried konjac noodles, the rice is also made from purely plant-based ingredients.
Our konjac rice consists only of water, ground konjac root and a little citric acid and is therefore gluten-free.
Our Shirataki rice in water is already pre-cooked and thus directly consumable. Simply pour off the water, rinse briefly and heat or process further - with the advantageous 1.34 kg package you can make all your rice dreams come true.
Don't worry if the rice smells a little sour or fishy when you open the package - this is due to the konjac flour and is typical for Shirataki. Once you rinse the rice with water and finish cooking, the smell is completely gone!
Oh yes, the konjac root from which our konjac rice is made comes from organic farming.
Stored in a cool place and in the original unopened package, the minimum shelf life is 24 months. After opening the package, you should store the rice in the refrigerator and use it within 4 days. However, with the wide range of uses, this is certainly not a problem.
Products made from konjac root are extremely popular, especially in East Asia, where it is native. The root is also called devil's tongue or tear tree. Our konjac rice comes from organic farming in China. More and more people are now getting a taste for this delicious tuber - you try it too!
Konjac rice has less than 0.1 g of carbohydrates and is fat-free and sugar-free.
Since konjac rice consists mainly of water, 100 g have just 5 calories. However, we would like to point out at this point that the basis of a balanced diet should not be to eat as low in calories as possible, but to sufficiently cover all daily required nutrients. Convenient and versatile

Fantastic!!! Really very versatile, prepares in an instant and for me it is great in those times when I eat less (the famous "low-calorie" for athletes). But it is good for anyone: sportsmen, non-sportsmen, parents, children, anyone :)

Just super and good!!!

I am thrilled again!!! The konjac rice is just as good as the konjac noodles, you can cook everything with it, whether rice soup, rice meat or rice porridge, everything succeeds and tastes very good!!!! Recommended, in addition, I have already lost almost 5 kg with the konjac products!!!
