Seitan - what is it anyway?

Both tofu and seitan come from Asia. Unlike tofu, seitan is not made from soy beans, but from water insoluble wheat protein (aka gluten). Another difference between the two is that seitan has a meat-like consistency, which tofu does not. as I have already posted on IG it is the best seitan I have ever tried. you can tell it is handmade because the pieces are "raw" chestnut flavor but delicate, great in many recipes it keeps a lot and the glass jar can be recycled in a thousand ways. The price is great given the quality of the product ..I also eat it my husband who is not vegan which means everything since those of other brands tried were not to his taste but this YES
