Is smoked tofu healthy?

Healthy is, above all, a wholesome and balanced diet. Our organic smoked tofu has 153 kcal per 100 g. With 15 g protein per 100 g, it is a great vegetable protein source and can be used as an alternative to meat. What can I do with smoked tofu? Do you have any recipes for me?

Enjoy pure, marinate, fry, grill - you can do all sorts of things with smoked tofu. Also as a meat alternative in goulash, curry, bolognese or sliced on your bread or burger, the vegan smoked tofu is excellent. Try delicious whole grain samosas and use the tofu as a tasty filling. In addition, you can process smoked tofu into a spread and top your salad or bowl with it. Our tofu is already refined with soy sauce, but of course you can add more and season it to your liking. Enjoy your meal!

How to make the tofu nice and crispy?

Cut the tofu into slices or cubes and fry with plenty of oil of your choice for about 3 minutes on all sides. Juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. You can even barbecue the tofu on a grill for 3 minutes on each side for that extra summer feeling.

How is smoked tofu made?

In the production of smoked tofu, natural tofu is smoked in a smokehouse over beech wood to give it a subtle aromatic smoky note.

Can I eat tofu raw?

Yes, tofu can also be consumed raw. It can be considered safe because tofu itself is not a raw product. In the production process, soybeans were cooked, processed into soymilk, then the protein of the soymilk was flocculated. This was allowed to coagulate and pressed.

What are the varieties of tofu?

The best known types of tofu are silken tofu, natural tofu and smoked tofu. Silken tofu is particularly soft and smooth. Therefore, it is super suitable for vegan desserts. Natural tofu is firmer and has small holes. It can be easily cut or crumbled and is therefore well suited for hearty dishes. Smoked tofu is smoky and spicy. An ideal alternative when time is too short to marinate your tofu yourself. It goes great with stir-fries and stews as a meat substitute.

How do I make tofu tastier?

At first, the natural tofu flavor can take some getting used to. Therefore, we recommend that you marinate the tofu beforehand or fry it until it is nice and crispy.
