How do I store the tahini and how long is its shelf life?

Our tahini is best stored in a dry and cool place. Unopened, it will keep for at least 36 months.

How many calories has tahini?

With 100 grams of tahini you get 595 kcal.

Is there a substitute for tahini?

Waiting times are terrible, especially if you absolutely want to try out the latest recipe with the sesame paste. For emergencies, however, we also have alternatives up our sleeve: nut pure e and pumpkin seed puree do not match the taste of our tahini 100%, but behave similarly in consistency.

What is tahini and how is the taste?

Our organic tahini contains only ingredients that do not naturally contain gluten. However, depending on the growing area, there may be unknowing contamination with gluten-containing grains during harvesting or processing, which is why we do not label the product as gluten-free.

Can I make tahini myself?

Sure, and we'll show you how it's done. The main ingredient is, of course, sesame seeds, but you can also use other ingredients such as agave syrup (for sweeter tahini) or crystal salt. The most important thing is a powerful blender, so that the puree also becomes nice and creamy. Toast the sesame seeds in a pan without oil (please stir constantly) until they are lightly browned. Then you can let it cool down briefly. Finally, put everything in the blender and puree until you get a creamy puree. By the way, this can take 10 minutes, because the seeds are first crushed before the oil comes out and it becomes nice and smooth.
