Buy now: Pecan nut pieces 1kg
Over here Europe, pecans are still considered the unpopular brother of walnuts, but in the USA, they are much more beloved and widely used – and rightly so! Pecan nuts can be the highlight of so many tasty recipes, both in sweet dishes like the popular and delicious pecan pie, one of the most traditional desserts you can meet in the Southern states of the US, and savoury creations: use them to top your baked vegetables! With their buttery taste and crunchy texture, pecans will always pleasantly surprise.
You don't need to chop up our pecans
Do you use pecans mostly to cook and bake? Then our broken nuts are just perfect for you, as you won't have to chop them up. Moreover, you will save money in addition to time, as the broken pecan pieces are much cheaper than the perfect intact nuts. Win-win!
The highlight of your banana bread
Their gentle but distinctive taste makes pecans one of the best additions possible to your banana bread, to which they will bring not only taste, but also some crunchiness. Speaking of crunchiness, try sprinkling some broken pecans on your salads, porridge or just snack on them. If you thought broken nut pieces are for birds, you were completely wrong! The little pieces hold full flavour, despite not being entire nuts. If you still want whole pecan nuts, we also have those ready for you here at KoRo!

Pssst: Im KoRo Shop findest Du allerlei Pekannuss-Variationen.

Climate impact
At KoRo, we analyse the greenhouse gas emissions that are produced during the production of our snacks. These include, among other things, CO2, methane and nitrous oxide. Our hard-working sustainability team collects all the information to calculate a value: the so-called CO2 equivalents. We are now passing this information on to you so that you can make informed purchasing decisions and keep an eye on your personal carbon footprint. We also use these valuable findings ourselves, to try to make our supply chains even smarter in the future and monitor our CO2 footprint.
CO₂ emissions by product
To make the work of our sustainability team easier, we have teamed up with the company Cozero. They support us with their decarbonisation software to calculate the CO2 emissions of our products. Our products go through a lot before they make their way into your pantry or snack bowl, so there is a lot to take into consideration: production, packaging, and logistics – to name just the big steps.
