Fans of fine sweet things watch out! There is a new spread in our range that combines dates, almonds, and tonka beans in the creamiest and dreamiest of ways. How did this happen?? Well, one day, dates, almonds, and tonka beans met in front of a bone fire and chatted until dawn about crunchy almond moves, intoxicating tonka aroma, and seductive date sweetness, and since they seemed to get along so well, we as part-time matchmakers decided to combine the three of them in a nutty-sweet cream! All we added to this heavenly encounter was a pinch of sea salt – that's it! Ready to be surprised?

What is a tonka bean?

As a foodie, you might already know what Tonka tastes like, but have you ever thought about where the bean comes from? Tonka beans are the seeds of the tonka tree, which is mainly native to South America. Even though its seed is botanically a bean, it is used as a spice because of its sweet, vanilla-like aroma, and is often used in desserts, chocolate, coffee and liqueurs. Versatile and delicious as it is, the tonka bean alone cannot make a breakfast cream, so we added dates and almonds to it. While the date syrup provides additional sweetness, the almonds are responsible for the nutty taste and creamy consistency. A sweet dream team!
