But what is miso?

Miso paste is a traditional Japanese seasoning that is usually made from fermented soybeans: there are different types of miso paste, which can vary in colour, aroma, and flavour depending on the ingredients used, such as soy, rice, barley, and other grains, and the length of fermentation. The lighter miso pastes tend to be milder in flavour while the darker ones have a more intense and salty note. But both varieties taste wonderfully umami! For our vegan miso ramen broth we use light miso paste made from soybeans and have refined it with vegetable broth, soy sauce, and rapeseed oil, the combination of which gives it a strong, spicy taste, a perfect and versatile base for soups, sauces, and other Asia-inspired dishes.

How should I use and prepare this broth?

Preparing our broth is really really easy. Since it is ready to eat, our delicious vegan broth only needs to be heated in a pot or in the microwave before being refined with your favourite ingredients: fresh vegetables, tofu or any meat substitute you like, and of course, ramen noodles – the more the merrier! You can already look forward to the unique and intense taste of the ultimate comfort food!
