Do flower pollens contain potential allergens?

Our flower pollen may contain traces of gluten, soy, nuts, almonds, peanuts, milk (lactose), sesame and sulfur dioxide.

What is the recommended dosage of flower pollen?

We recommend that you first test whether you tolerate the pollen by taking small portions. As a daily dosage we recommend 1 - 2 teaspoons. The granules can be stirred into your juice, muesli, smoothie, applesauce or yogurt. If you are unsure, you should always seek the advice of your doctor.

How do I store the pollen?

Our flower pollen should be stored in a cool and dry place at about 10-15 ℃.

How many calories are in 100 g of pollen?

Can my child eat flower pollen?

Children love Maya the Bee - so why not our flower pollen? Joking aside: In principle, we see no problem with children consuming the pollen. However, we advise you to seek the advice of your pediatrician before you give your kids the pollen to eat.

Do the flower pollen have a lot of protein?

Strong bees need super protein sources. Our Spanish flower pollen is a great source of protein with 19 g protein per 100 g and can therefore also be consumed wonderfully after sports.

Can I consume pollen from flowers despite a pollen allergy?

Often the consumption of flower pollen is recommended in case of a pollen allergy or similar. However, we do not recommend eating our flower pollen or stirring it into a drink in the case of a known hypersensitivity, intolerance or allergy, as this can sometimes be dangerous. Under certain circumstances, an allergic reaction may be triggered or side effects may occur. Therefore, you should always seek the advice of your doctor before consuming the pollen.

Can I eat the flower pollen during pregnancy?

As long as you do not have an allergy to pollen and consume pollen in normal amounts, we do not see a problem. To be on the safe side, you should seek the advice of your gynecologist before taking it.

Are the flower pollen from KoRo vegan?

In principle, our flower pollen is purely vegetable. However, cross-contamination with animal products may occur in production, during the filling process, which is why we do not call our flower pollen vegan.
