Spelt is considered as prototype of wheat, and was cultivated in Asia already a thousand years ago. After being almost replaced by its relative wheat throughout the 20th century, in the last recent years spelt and its benefits has been increasingly rediscovered. Spelt stands out not only as rich ingredient in breads, pasta and patties, but also in puffed form; added to your daily porridge or smoothie bowl, it makes quite an impression!

What recipes can I make with puffed spelt?

First, of course, there is the classic: puffed spelt is a great topping for muesli, yogurt and porridge. But you can also use it in desserts and sweets.
